Vendors — Become A Vendor

Are you a business, community-based organization, or DC agency who wants to connect with a diverse and enthusiastic neighborhood? With thousands of people visiting the festival, this is a great opportunity to sell your creations and help inform residents. We want you to think creatively! Apply to be a vendor at Celebrate Petworth using the form at the bottom.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Criteria for Participation:

You must be a DC-based business, organization, or agency to be a vendor (unless you are a sponsor). This means your business address must be in DC. Preference will be given to those based in Petworth area. Any businesses located in the 20011 zip code or in Ward 4 within the 20010 zip code will be considered a Petworth business.
If you're applying as an artisan, your work or product must be entirely self-made.
Restaurants, caterers, and on-site food vendors must be based in Petworth. Space is limited. To apply, please complete the Taste of Petworth Food Vendor Application.
Real estate agents/companies and non-DC businesses will not be accepted as vendors unless they are sponsors.

Rules & Regulations:

Payment: Vendor fee payment is due upon being notified of acceptance as a vendor. No space is reserved until the fee is received. Festival will take place rain or shine. Fees are not refundable.
Operations: All vendors and exhibitors are solely responsible for booth operation and the collection and reporting of applicable sales tax.
Equipment: Celebrate Petworth does not furnish tables, tents, electricity, chairs, staff, etc.
10x10 Tent Spaces: The reserved 10x10 space is sufficient for a 10x10 tent, and all merchandise and equipment must fit within this space. You must supply your own equipment, including a tent and (if desired) chairs.
Refund Policy: Festival will take place rain or shine. Fees are not refundable.

Selection Process:

We are looking for a diverse mix of high-quality vendors. We limit the number of vendors in any given category to achieve this goal. Past participation in the festival will be noted, but it does not guarantee acceptance.

Vendor Types & Booth Fees

All artisans and businesses MUST be based in Washington, DC to apply.

Petworth Restaurants/Caterers (Food Vendors)	Restaurants, caterers, and on-site food vendors must be based in Petworth. To apply, please complete the separate Taste of Petworth Food Vendor Application. NOTE: Vendors selling pre-packaged foods for off-site consumption (candy, honey, jams, etc) should register as a business instead of a food vendor.	$250
Community Groups & Nonprofits	501c3 nonprofits or community groups (e.g., Ward 4 Mutual Aid) that will not be selling products or services.	$50

Booth Registration Info

Select the type of space you are requesting. Please note, we are only accepting a limited number of food vendors (excluding pre-packaged foods available in the artisan area) and all food vendors must be Petworth-based restaurants.

Each vendor space is a 10 x 10 space. Your entire booth or tent is required to fit within the space you pay for.

Artisan: $175

Petworth Business: $200

Non-Petworth Business: $300

Community Group/Nonprofit (Not Selling Items): $50

Local School/PTO/PTA/FTO: $50

DC Agency or Elected Official: $100

Festival Rules & Regulations

Please read the following before signing the vendor application and agreement. This is a rain or shine event.

This application is for Celebrate Petworth 2024 to be held rain or shine.
Vendor shall pay a fee for each 10x10 space reserved. Vendor space is for a 10 x 10-foot space unless additional space was purchased. All goods, equipment, and services must remain within that space. Items outside purchased space are subject to removal and the vendor subject to festival dismissal.
Booth locations will be assigned at the discretion of the festival.
All space fees shall be paid in full within 14 days from the time the application is accepted. NO REFUNDS will be issued upon completion of registration and payment.
Vendor set-up is Saturday, September 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:59 a.m. You will be assigned a specific set-up window based on your booth location. Vendor agrees to have booth completely set-up and ready for guests at the start time of the Festival.
Take down of booths will not be allowed until the close of the Festival (5:00 p.m.). Please plan accordingly.
No vendor or merchant shall emit any noise, including music or other audio, in such fashion as to drown out or unfairly compete with any adjoining music or entertainment stage or its neighbor.
No generators are allowed without the express prior written consent of Celebrate Petworth
Celebrate Petworth will be held rain or shine, however, Celebrate Petworth reserves the right to cancel due to dangerous weather conditions or other unforeseen emergency circumstances. In the event of cancellations, Celebrate Petworth will not be liable for damages, claims, expenses or losses. No refunds will be made in the event of a cancellation.
All vendors are responsible for filing sales and use tax forms with the DC Department of Revenue and for paying relevant taxes.
Food vendors must have a current DC Board of Health certification. Food vendors must comply with all DC Department of Health regulations and all other applicable DC laws.
Any vendor, merchant or participant in the festival who violates any DC law or regulation, or the supplemental regulations shall be subject to immediate removal from the festival and revocation of further right to participate.
The vendor agrees to hold harmless Celebrate Petworth, Petworth Main Street, and any subsidiary, affiliate corporation, and all of the directors, staff, employees, agents, contractors, and volunteers of the aforementioned from any and all liability for damage, injury, or loss that vendors or others may sustain as a result of direct or indirect action of the vendor or any agent of the vendor in connection with the vendor’s participation in the Festival. The vendor will not hold Celebrate Petworth, Petworth Main Street, or its agents responsible for any claim or loss or injury arising in any fashion from vendor’s participation in the festival.

By signing your name below you agree to the following statement: I have read and hereby agree to abide by all rules and regulations as outlined above. As representative of the aforementioned vendor, business or organization, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Celebrate Petworth Festival and Petworth Main Street, as well as the District of Columbia, and any subsidiary, affiliate corporation and all of their directors, officers, agents, contractors and employees of the aforementioned from any and all liability for damage, injury or loss to any person or goods for any reason related to activities related to the Celebrate Petworth Festival.

Payment will be collected after submission by a member of the Celebrate Petworth team.
